The aim of the article is to discuss the generalized image of Ukrainian internally 18 displaced persons (IDPs), which emerges from the Ukrainian media discourse 2014-2017. 19 The media discourse concerning the subject of internally displaced persons is largely 20 dominated by stereotypes and prejudices that demonize the image of forced migrants from 21 Crimea and Donbass, often using the binary opposition "we" "them". The article presents the 22 dynamics of the attitudes towards Ukrainian IDPs from 2014 to 2017, the role of the media in 23 the social perception of forced migrants and strategies for shaping the image of IDP. 24
