The implementation of the Lean Manufacturing concept in SMEs is still an important and topical research issue. The aim of the article is to analyze the degree of Lean implementation in SME activities and to identify the main barriers hindering the use of this concept in their activities. The results indicate that despite the concerns of SMEs decide to implement some lean tools, indicating how the obstacles are of a human resources, financial and organizational nature.
