Investors when making decisions about optimal portfolio construction, typically use mathematically advanced methods that lead to a reduction in investment risk. Classical methods, technical analysis methods and fundamental analysis methods deserve particular attention. An alternative approach is to use of selected characteristics of chaos theory. The aim of the study will be an attempt to diversify the risk of the investment portfolio built on the basis of the non-classical risk measure which is the fractal dimension and the measure of chaos identification, ie the largest Lyapunov exponent.
