El sector de comercio exterior ferretero ha presentado dificultades en el manejo de costos ocasionados por la poca estandarizacion de procesos, contrabando y baja calidad; condiciones que son mejoradas con la aplicacion del sistema de gestion BASC, por lo cual se plantea determinar los elementos que generan ventajas competitivas a traves del sistema de gestion BASC. La investigacion de corte descriptivo, de campo y transversal, busco informacion a traves de aplicacion de encuesta a 30 empresas que manejan el 87% de trafico de importacion de materiales de ferreteria; cuyos resultados indican que las ventajas competitivas que se generan son: disminucion de costos de operacion de los productos importados, incremento de la satisfaccion del cliente relacionado con el stock de productos, cumplimiento de especificaciones de los articulos. ABSTRACT The foreign trade sector has encountered difficulties in handling costs caused by the lack of standardization of processes, contraband and low quality; conditions that are improved with the application of the BASC management system, for which it is proposed to determine the elements that generate competitive advantages through the BASC management system. The descriptive, field and cross-sectional research searched information through the application of a survey to 30 companies that handle 87% of import traffic of hardware materials; which results indicate that the competitive advantages generated are: decrease in operating costs of imported products, increase of customer satisfaction related to the stock of products, compliance of specifications of articles.
