Development of hybrid membranes has gained special interest due to their low energy consumption and adaptability to different media. Different compounds to the same zinc oxide can adds selectivity, stability and resistance to fouling, which makes it possible to improve the separation processes. This work evaluates the influence of some parameters such as the pH in the feeding phase, nature of the discharge phase and amount of zinc oxide particles inside of hybrid acetate membrane. This is necessary because red 40 is an azo and chromogenic dye used in the textile industry. Considering the above, the hybrid membrane was tested in a synthetic solution where it was found to be useful for the recovery of the dye.
