Poetry is the ornament of language and it dresses language in its most beautiful clothes. Poetry is one of the most important elements demonstrating the literary abilities of a language. Poets are among the most effective users of language, they try to convey their emotions in the most ostentatious way within the context of the possibilities of language. In this respect, poetry is an exceptional function of the language, which has the characteristic of conveying culture. Poets keep in their minds the joys and sorrow, national unity and solidarity, history and various time periods of the society that they live in through their poems and transfer them to the next generations. In addition to the social aspect of poetry, it’s also striking that it reflects the spirit world of the poet individually. In this respect, poems are a gateway to the poet's world. The feeling of loneliness is one of the main themes, mentioed by many poets in their works. There are many types of feeling of 1 Dr. Öğr. The loneliness that poets experience is much more different. They are all alone because they are poets. They may be in crowds, but because they have an extraordinary awareness, they always have to be separated from people. The subject of this study is how the poet's loneliness is mentioned in the poems of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek and Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov, who lived in two different times and wrote poems in different geographies and different languages. As a result of our comparative analysis, it is seen that common feelings are described in poems with different images depending on time and place.
