本研究に用いた分娩記録の 24.8%が,Increased-PWの母 豚の記録であった。Increased-PW母豚で,PBA-minus-PW の平均(+標準誤差)は,初産豚で-2.8+0.02頭,2産次 以上の母豚で-2.7+0.05頭であった。高繁殖生産性農場 の Increased-PW母豚の割合は,低繁殖生産性農場よりも 4.8%高かった(P<0.05)。 どの産次においても Increased-PW母豚の PBAは,DecreasedPW母豚よりも少なかった(P<0.05)。また,IncreasedPW母豚の PBA-minus-PWは,Decreased-PW母豚よりも 大きかった(P<0.05)。 Increased-PW 母豚の補正 21 日齢一腹子豚体重は, Decreased-PW母豚よりも重かった(P<0.05)。IncreasedPW グループの初産豚の離乳後初回交配日数は, Decreased-PW母豚よりも 0.5日長かったが(P<0.05),2 産次以上の母豚では差が見られなかった。さらに,いずれ の産次においても Increased-PW母豚は Decreased-PW母豚 よりも,分娩割合は低く,次産次 PBAは少なかった(P< 0.05)。 まとめとして,Increased-PW母豚の補正 21日齢一腹子 豚体重は,Decreased-PW母豚よりも重かった。しかし, Increased-PWの初産豚では,Decreased-PW母豚よりも離 乳後初回交配日数は延長し,分娩割合は低下し,次産次 PBAは減少することを示唆した。
