A compreensao integrada de fatores biofisicos e socioeconomicos nos processos de uso da terra e necessaria para o entendimento das transformacoes na paisagem pois estes podem interagir e operar sob uma gama de escalas no tempo e no espaco influenciando na dinâmica das paisagens. O objetivo deste trabalho e analisar estatisticamente as mudancas do uso e cobertura da terra entre 1988 e 2017 no municipio de Ibate-SP, no intuito de verificar em quais periodos de tempo estas mudancas formam mais significativas. A abordagem metodologica teve enfoque na analise temporal do uso e cobertura da terra. Para avaliacao estatistica das mudancas de uso e cobertura da terra, foi utilizada a Analise de Variância (ANOVA) para cada ecossistema analisado (urbanos, naturais e agricolas). Dentro dos ecossistemas analisados, os periodos foram divididos em blocos 3 a 3; 5 a 5; 6 a 6 e 10 a 10 anos. Foram encontradas e classificadas as classes de ecossistemas naturais, ecossistemas urbanos, ecossistemas agricolas e ecossistemas aquaticos, observando-se uma expansao das atividades agricolas, com um incremento de 1.513,80ha das areas de cultivo e decrescimo dos ecossistemas naturais, representando 1.903,85ha. As analises estatisticas demonstraram que em todos os blocos de periodos analisados, e possivel observar alteracoes continuas ao longo do tempo, desta forma, apesar dessa caracteristica variar de regiao para regiao, conclui-se que mesmo em periodos pequenos de comparacao entre imagens de satelite e possivel observar alteracoes nas paisagens.  A B S T R A C T The integrated understanding of biophysical and socioeconomic factors in the processes of land use is necessary for the understanding of the transformations in the landscape because they can interact and operate under a range of scales in time and space influencing the dynamics of the landscapes. The objective of this work is to analyze statistically the changes in use and land cover between 1988 and 2017 in Ibate-SP municipality, in order to verify in which periods of time these changes are more significant. The methodological approach had a focus on the analysis of use and land cover. For the statistical evaluation of changes in use and land cover, was used the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) for each ecosystem analyzed (urban, natural and agricultural). Within the ecosystems analyzed, the periods were divided into blocks of 3 to 3; 5 to 5; 6 to 6 and 10 to 10 years. Classes of natural ecosystems, urban ecosystems, agricultural ecosystems and aquatic ecosystems were found and classified, with an expansion of agricultural activities, with an increase of 1,513.80ha of areas of cultivation and decrease of natural ecosystems, representing 1,903,85ha. Statistical analysis has shown that in all blocks of periods analyzed, it is possible to observe continuous changes over time, thus, although this characteristic varies from region to region, it is concluded that even in small periods of comparison between satellite images is changes in the landscape.
