Analytic thinking is a type of high order thinking that is defined as the ability to examine carefully, sort out and identify the main parts of a problem to understand how the parts are interrelated and form a logical solution or conclusion. In solving mathematical problems each student has a different way of solving. One of the factors that influence it it cognitive style. The cognitive style used in this study is a systematic and intuitive cognitive style. The reason researchers for choosing systematic and intuitive cognitive styles because both of cognitive styles both refer to the tendency to analyze a situation or information. The type of this study is to describe the profile of junior high school students' analytic thinking in solving mathematical problems based on systematic and intuitive cognitive styles. Data collection techniques using cognitive style tests (TGK), mathematics problem solving tests (TPMM), and interviews. The subjects in this study were one student with a systematic cognitive style and one student with an intuitive cognitive style. From the results of data analysis and discussion it can be concluded that students with systematic cognitive style can experience analytical thinking in solving mathematical problems, namely at the stage of understanding the problem students experience analytic thinking activities to distinguish, organize, and attribute, at the stage of making and implementing plans students experience thinking activities analytic organizes and provides PROFIL BERPIKIR ANALITIK ... 431 attributes, the way they are used is structured and in solving problems according to the step-by-step that has been prepared, at the stage of looking back at students experiencing analytic thinking activities giving attributes.
