This article is dedicated to the analysis of the changes promoted by Law 13.874/ 2019, in the Civil Code, on investment funds. A comparative study was carried out between what was foreseen in the legislation and what was positive, now, by the new law. Within this proposal, the article examines questions about the legal nature of the investment fund, the type of liability of service providers and service providers, the requirements for registration of the regulation, the insolvency regime, as different classes of quotas and the application of the Consumer Protection Code in the relationship between investors and investors.
