On this article we propose a critical analysis of the renaissance book “Utopia”, written by Thomas Morus, intending specifically to verify in it the existence of a political and moral philosophy. From this objective, the article was structured as to analyze some specific aspects of the referred book, such as its social organization, the abolition of private property, justice and Law, the critics to government forms and its religious organization. To accomplish this work, we used bibliographical research on the book and the author’s commentators.
