This article aims to analyze two labels of hair products that discursively construct the representation of curly hair. On one hand, the product OX ─ Cachos Controlados has an ordinary label and, on the other one, the product Novex ─ Meus Cachos de Cinema has a ludic label that articulates notions of the cinematographic discourse in its discursive construction. Anchored in the interdiscursivity and lexical choices, this article is written in the sense of pointing to the memory of a discourse about patterns of beauty that are refuted and / or establish a relationship of coexistence with the label’s ideals. Interdiscursive elements such as these as well as relations established with the cinematographic discourse are pointed out in this paper, mainly in what concerns to the lexical choices of the labels for the designation of curly hair.
