The article presents a review of the amendment to the Code of Criminal Procedure adapting the provisions to the Polish procedure the requirements set by the European Union directive about the European Investigation Order. There are presented the reasons for issuing the order by the Polish law enforcement authorities and the proceedings before the Polish judicial authorities regarding the order issued in other EU countries.
