Depuis quelques annees de nombreuses critiques sont emises par les enseignants et les etudiants sur l’efficience pedagogique des cours magistraux en amphitheâtre. La conception verticale de transmission du savoir est parfois mise en avant pour expliquer le decrochage et l’echec d’etudiants en premiere annee. Constatant depuis quelques annees une baisse des resultats lors des controles de connaissance et de maniere concomitante une baisse de l’attention des etudiants pour un cours de premiere annee, nous avons voulu renverser l’organisation d’un cours en laissant les etudiants preparer et animer cinq seances d’amphitheâtre avec le moins de consignes possibles. Apres avoir presente une conception de cours renverse et distingue le concept de celui de cours inverse, nous presenterons le contexte de la mise en place de ce dispositif pedagogique, ainsi que son evaluation. Enfin, nous nous interrogerons sur les consequences d’une experience de ce type sur la posture pedagogique des enseignants dans la problematique de l’apprendre ensemble. Flipping a lecture for first year students: The impacts on peer learning for Y generation. In recent years, numerous criticisms have been made by teachers and students on the pedagogical efficiency of lectures in amphitheater. The vertical design of knowledge transmission is sometimes put forward to explain the drop-out and failure of first-year students. In recent years, we noticed a drop in results during knowledge checks and concomitantly a drop in the attention of students for a first year course. We wanted then to reverse the organization of a course by letting the students prepare and animate themselves five sessions of lectures in amphitheater with the least possible instructions. After presenting a design of reversed course and clarifying the concept with the inverted course, we will present the context of the implementation of this pedagogical device, as well as its evaluation.
