As the OSADA dental Nd-YAG laser apparatus with changeable four handpieces was offered, we have used to several oral tissues of rabbits and observed the histological changes of irradiated tissues. Thermal changes were also observed by SANEI non-contact infrared rays thermotracer. On clinicaly, we used this apparatus for oral surgery of 60 cases including 37 tumors, 19 cases of cystic lesions, 4 cases of mucosal lesions and others. We recognized this apparatus is convenient for oral use. 口 腔 外 科 領 域 に お け る レーザ ーの 利 用 に際 して は 、操 作 領 域 の 狭 さ、 対 象 と す る病 変 の 多様 性 、 病 変 発生 部 位 の 組 織 構 成 の 複雑 性 、 す な わ ち舌 、 口 蓋 、歯 肉 、口 唇 、 頬 粘膜 の構 造 と その 内部 構 造 の 多様 性 、 ま た歯 お よ びそ の 補 綴物 の存 在 、唾 液 の 存 在 な ど 、様 々な 条 件 が あ り、 口腔 内 への レー ザ ー光 誘 導 の 難 しさ と 共に 、 デ リケ ー トな照 射 が 要 求 され る。 こ れ に対 応 して 、1982年 オ サ ダ歯科 用Nd-YAGレ ーザ ー装 置 が 開 発 され 、 これ を用 い て若 干 の基 礎 実 験 と 、 口腔 外 科 治 療 に 利用 す る 機 会 を得 たの で 、 その 結 果 を報 告す る。
