A new instrument of Laser Flowgraphy is developed to visualize blood flow of gastric mucosal under endoscopy. The mucosal is illuminated by an Argon laser transmitted through an optical fiber in the channel opening of the endoscopy. The laser spot is observed via the fiberscope and the image speckle pattern is detected by an area sensor attached to the viewer of the scope. The average difference (AD) is calculated for one hundred of scannings of the speckle field, and the two-dimensional blood flow map is displayed in color graphics as the map of AD values.
