Verruca vulgaris is usually treated by cryotherapy. This is associated with some problems, such as pain, blistering, ulceration, scarring and recurrence. The British guidelines for the treatment of verruca vulgaris says that the optical treatment must have a human immunoreaction. Low reactive level laser therapy (LLLT) has a photobioactivity effect on human tissue and there are no complications. Thirty-six cases of verruca vulgaris were treated with LLLT , using an Nd:YAG Laser. This resulted is effective treatment in 61.1 % of them. The human tissue was more activated by LLLT which induced an immunoreaction. In the future, combined therapy with pulse dye laser which can destroy verruca vulgaris, and Nd:YAG Laser which induces an immunoreaction, we can therefore effectively resolve verruca vulgaris.
