Pensar o tema Atletas de Cristo no futebol e os sintomas de ansiedade a partir de dados coletados em atletas de futebol em dois clubes do estado de Pernambuco constitui o escopo deste trabalho, como um meio de compreender e analisar o poder da crenca e dos ritos na vida desses atletas, ate que ponto essa crenca pode influenciar no nivel de ansiedade dos atletas antes das partidas de futebol. Assim como estudar as formas de manifestacoes religiosas utilizadas pelos atletas atraves dos rituais antes de iniciar as partidas. O procedimento metodologico da nossa pesquisa e de cunho qualitativo e descritivo, fizemos uso do metodo empirico e os dados foram coletados a partir de entrevista estruturada. Nas entrevistas os Atletas de Cristo reconheceram a relevância da fe religiosa em suas vidas assim como a eficacia da crenca e dos rituais no meio futebolistico. Abstract Think the theme of Christ athletes in football and anxiety symptoms from data collected on athletes from football clubs in two of the state of Pernambuco is the purview of this work, as a means of compreendr and analyze the power of belief and ritual in life, these athletes, to what extent this belief may influence the anxiety level of the athletes ahead of soccer matches. As the study of religious forms used by athletes through the ritual before the matches start. The methodological approach of our research is qualitative and descriptive, we used the method emperor and the data were collected from structured interviews. In the interviews, the athletes of Christ recognized the importance of religious faith in their lives as well as the effectiveness of belief and ritual in the soccer world.
