This article points out the role of Visegrad Group countries in the process of European Union Internal Market completion. The future of continuing European Union Internal Market completion is considerably influenced by current developments within the European Union. Protectionist tendencies of national states, the voting of Great Britain to leave the European Union, migration, security issues are testing the solidarity and consistency of the European Union and of its Internal Market. Positive examples of a close cooperation are needed more then before. This article focuses on an analysis of the historical formation of the European Union Internal Market, on identification of the main milestones which influenced this process and on the role of the Visegrad Group countries within this process and as a positive example.
