O presente trabalho visa a trazer reflexoes quanto ao modelo de federacao estabelecido no Brasil sob a egide da Constituicao de 1988, em especial no que diz respeito a autonomia dos Municipios, ao principio da simetria e a concepcao de federalismo de cooperacao. Com isso, busca-se estabelecer ponderacoes sobre a forma de interpretacao do texto constitucional, estabelecendo perspectivas.
