Taken in wider context, the history of health culture encompasses research of factual development and knowledge application and, simultaneously, of ignorance and misapprehensions on medicine and medical science; history of mentality related to the physical and mental health; structures of everyday and private life; history of demography and epidemical diseases; human biology in its historical framework; the culture of human survival.
