SUMMARYClinical case of a 28 year old patient withbilateral cleft lip palate, who was treatedduring a period of 5 years and 4 months,at the University of Valle postgraduateorthodontic’s clinic of lip and palate, ispresented. The patient had undershot jaw,severe mandibular macrognatismo, molarmalocclusionclass I and class II right andleft, accompanied by severe recumbent andmild retrusion of upper incisors and lowerand, multiple malposition and impactiontooth 12. A non - surgical orthodontic plancompensation was developed and accompaniedby an initial mandibular treatment,orthopedic expansion and corrective orthodontictreatment, using fixed appliancessuch as standard braces slot 0.22x0.028inches, extractions of lower first premolars,typing canines as lateral incisors as wellas rehabilitation of the upper front teeth.Satisfactory results were obtained in termsof aesthetic and functional occlusion.
