espanolEl estudio evalua la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud y los determinantes sociodemogracos sexo, edad, estrato socioeconomico y nivel de estudios de la poblacion adulta de Cuenca-Ecuador. La metodologia aplica un estudio transversal de una muestra de 280 sujetos, se empleo un cuestionario para determinantes sociodemogracos y el Cuestionario de Salud SF-36 para medir la salud percibida. Se comprobo la relacion entre salud percibida y determinantes sociodemograficos mediante la comparacion de la variable en los diferentes subgrupos. Los resultados muestran a las mujeres con una peor salud percibida. El grupo adulto obtuvo puntuaciones mayores que el grupo adulto mayor en todas las dimensiones, excepto en salud mental. Las puntuaciones medias del grupo con estudios primarios fueron menores respecto a los de estudios secundarios y superiores. El nivel educativo influye en la salud percibida y el nivel socioeconomico tiene impacto en el componente mental y el dolor corporal. EnglishThe study evaluates the quality of life related to healthand determinants sociodemogracos sex, age,socioeconomic stratum and level of studies of the adultpopulation of Cuenca-Ecuador. The methodology applies a cross-sectional study of a sample of 280 subjects, a questionnaire was used for determinants Sociodemogracos and the health questionnaire SF-36 to measure the perceived health. The relationship between perceived health and demographic determinants was verified by comparing the variable in the different subgroups. The results show women with worse perceived health. The adult group scored higher than the adult group in all dimensions, except in mental health. The average scores of the group with primary studies were lower compared to those of secondary and higher studies. The educational level influences the perceived health and the socioeconomic level has an impact on the mental component and the bodily pain.
