A R T I C L E I N F O A B S T R A C T Article history: Received: 02 April, 2020 Accepted: 03 June, 2020 Online: 26 June, 2020 To have enough information on time can be helpful when companies try to reduce costs and operate more efficiently. An international company that supplies parts for the automotive industry is currently testing its new facilities in Mexico. The relocation of the raw materials and finished goods warehouses were tested using a P-Median model. The operating costs and risk factors were included in the model to provide a better solution and improve the operation of the warehouses and production lines. The research results compared different scenarios and indicated that the proposed better location isolates the forklift routes, mainly for finished products, and minimizes the cost of moving both raw materials and finished products to and from warehouses.
