This is a descriptive and exploratory study based on a mixed, sequential and complementary methodological strategy for the users’ perspective concerning the information received about their health condition. Thirty female users of an oncological service diagnosed with cervicaluterine cancer were interviewed in order to know the characteristics of the medical information relating to their illness and treatment. Results show that the information received is scarce, unreliable and untruthful, but paradoxically the users indicate that their relation with the medical personnel is acceptable. The results are analyzed, and new research lines are proposed.
