We present a case of nearly missed diagnosis of a rare disease entity in a 38 year old female with a past medical history of myxoid neurofibroma who presents with sudden onset of left hemiparesis, dysarthria and somnolence. Physical examination revealed numerous ephelides and nevi mostly in the face, forearm and back. She was incidentally found to have left atrial myxoma as a source of her cardio-embolic stroke. The constellation of her symptoms, physical examination and imaging findings was reviewed thus meeting the diagnosis of carney complex of the NAME subtype.
