Atmospheric pressure, Dense Medium Plasma (DMP) environments were employed to synthesize carbonhost, sole and hybrid, MagneticNanoparticle Systems (MNS) and silicon and poly-halo-silane nanoparticles Systems (NPSs). Direct synthesis of functionalized NPSs and post-DMP functionalization of NPs are discussed. Plasma-enhanced partial fragmentation of low molecular weight hydrocarbons, (e.g. octane) is also presented. Advanced analytical tools were used to characterize the NPs. The design and the advantages of the original plasma tolls are evaluated. Potential importance for application of the NPSs is emphasized.
