そ もそ も,私 が 日本炎症 学会 の存在 を知 ったの は,1982年 に,東 大第三 内科 の主任 教授 に ご就任 された高久史麿先生 か ら,こ の ような学会が あるので演題 を出 してお く ように といわれた ときであ ります.私 が最初 に一般演題 を発表 したの は,第 三 回 日本 炎症学会 の ときで,会 長 は水島 裕先生 で した.そ して,1982年 には,日 本炎症学会 の評議員 に推挙 され ました. 1983年 には,当 時,病 棟医長 をしていた私 に,高 久先生か らお声がかか り,日 本炎 症学会 の事務局長 を務 め るように との ご下命があ りました. 確 か,そ の ときの会長 は,藤 村一 先生で,次 期学会 の打 ち合わせ を,京 王 プラザ ホテルで行 い ました.当 時の理事長 は,塩 川優一先生 で した.お 陰様 で,第5回 日本 炎症学会 も高久会長の下で成功裡 に開催す ることが出来 ました.
