The research goal is to develop experimental and statistical modeling of the efficiency of distilling water-fuel fractions (WFF) from the waste engine oil (WEO). The authors created a comprehensive mathematical model of the process of both separate and joint water and light fuel fractions removal from the waste engine oil of the marine diesel engines. At the same time, parameters of the flash point and viscosity of the regenerated oil should be better than the rejection values determined by regulatory documents, which makes it possible to reuse this oil in internal combustion engines. In the study, the following factors were taken as variables: Q – performance of a cyclone vacuumthermal evaporator (CVTE) on the prepared model mixtures of the investigated composition of WFF; pvak – vacuum in CVTE during the regeneration process; tm – temperature in CVTE during the regeneration process. Regression equations for water and fuel distillations were obtained after processing the results of the experiment and the elimination of insignificant coefficients. The obtained mathematical models are recommended to be used to calculate the efficiency of the process of joint removal of water and light fuel fractions from WFF at a confidence probability of 0.95, as well as to justify changes in the performance of the regeneration plant and other parameters of the process during the modernization of the RUMS-1 plant. It was determined that the joint removal of WFF from WEO is possible in shipboard conditions with the use of a modular mobile installation RUMS-1, allowing restoring the performance characteristics of engine oil to acceptable quality level. It was found that, in the experimental and statistical modeling of the process of joint removal of WFF from WEO, that the determining factors are the temperature of the WEO and the vacuum value in the CVTE. The authors proposed equations for numerical calculation of the parameters of the process of WFF removal from WEO at its simultaneous contamination with these fractions.
