This research was aimed to analyze the combining ability among seven sweet corn lines from PT. BISI International, Tbk’s collections across two locations. The research used complete diallel mating design according to Griffing’s method 1. The experiment used randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replications, conducted at Malang, East Java and Magelang, Central Java. This experiment showed that resiprocal effect was not significant for all traits. General combining ability (GCA) x environment interaction was significant for yield and ear diameter, indicating inbred line that have high value in one location may have different performance in other location. Specific combining ability (SCA) x environment interaction was not significant for all traits, suggesting that screening at one location would be adequate. Non-additive gene effects were more important for controlling inheritance of all traits. Genotype DMSG781 (D) were good combiner for yield, genotype DMSE711 (E) for ear diameter, genotype DMST531 (B) and DMSF11 (G) for ear length. The best SCA for several important traits were generated from parent lines with high GCA x low GCA except for ear length. Combination DMST531 (B)xDMSK5 (C) were the best SCA for yield, DMSC499 (A)xDMSS491 (F) for ear length and DMSS491 (F)x DMSF11 (G) for ear diameter.
