Gleby Organiczne na Renaturyzowanym Torfowisku "Niknąca Łąka" w Parku Narodowym Gór Stołowych Peat Soil in the Restoration Niknąca Łąka Peatland in the Stołowe Mountains National Park The aim of the study was to determine the properties of organic soils in the Niknąca Łąka Peatlands undergoing restoration in the Stołowe Mountains National Park. Four profiles were studied representing soil that are in various stages of moisture, located under Vaccinio Piceetum and Oxycocco - Sphagnetea communities. Profiles were described or identified as Fibric or Sapric Histosols Dystric (IUSS - WRB 2007). Results indicate the average (PtII) or strong (PtIII) degree of the soil peaty process. In the coastal part of the peatland this process was stopped. An abundance of macro elements in the soils and low pH values indicate strong oligotrofic habitats. Thin soil charcoal layers showed the presence of fire episodes in the early stages in soil formation. Some differences in soil characteristics within the analyzed object were the result of previously conducted peatland forestry and the drying of peat.
