ペプトイドとは,Zuckermannによって開発されたペ プチド骨格においてcα炭素上にある側鎖がN原子上に 構造を持つ人造の分子群である [1].N-H由来の水素結 合を形成しないため,側鎖を適切に選ぶことで化学的性 質や凝集能を制御しやすく,新たな機能性ポリマー素材 として注目されている.私達は前回,水分子を内包する 環状オクタペプトイドについてフラグメント分子軌道法 (FMO)法 [2]を用いた凝集時の相互作用解析例を報告し た [3].今回は新たな機能性として,イオン内包性質に 注目する.ペプトイド骨格のデザイン性を生かし,価数 や半径が異なるイオンを特異的に取り込むことができれ ば有用である. 実験例の一つとして,Naイオンを内包する環状ペプト イドがある [4].イオン内包の代表的な系としてはクラ ウンエーテル [5]があげられるが,文献 [4]の例ではイオ ンを複数内包できることが興味深い.取り囲みは骨格の カルボニル酸素との配位結合的相互作用に起因している が,この構造は基本骨格に芳香環を含む骨格的に新しい 剛直なペプトイドであり,イオンをこの芳香環で取り囲 む可能性も示唆されている.今回はこの実験例を基にイ オンを芳香環のπ電子で内包するモデル系での計算例を 報告する.
