. Tuberculosis is one of the 10 major causes of death worldwide. In Indonesia, total tuberculosis cases every year are  approximately 1 million with a mortality of around 100,000.  Nowadays, anti M.tuberculosis antibody detection tests are developed for diagnostics rather than followup therapy. The purpose of this research was to obtain the diagnostic value of IgG and IgM anti M.tuberculosis Encode TB rapid test for supporting lung tuberculosis diagnosis.Metode. This was an observational analitical study conducted in the Dr Soetomo Hospital, Surabaya, Indonesia. IgG and IgM anti M.tuberculosis were detected using immunochromatography in 34 tuberculosis patients and 18 non tuberculosis patients, who were included  randomly from November 2017 until May 2018.Result. IgG Encode TB was positive in 12 patients  from the tuberculosis group and 1 false positive in the non tuberculosis group. The diagnostic sensitivity of IgG dan IgM Encode TB was 35%, diagnostic specificity was 94%, positive predictive value was  92% , negative predictive value was 43% and diagnostic acuracy was 55.7%.Conclusion. The sensitivity of anti-tuberculosis IgG and IgM was low so that the TB IgG / IgM Rapid Test was not recommended for use as a single diagnostic tool for the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis.  In future, it is recommended to use multiple antigens that are more specific and to combine with  other diagnostics tests to increase the sensitivity.
