Pesquisa de revisao de literatura, que objetivou levantar a producao cientifica brasileira do periodo 2010-2016, acerca de pacientes submetidos a troca de valvula mitral associada a febre reumatica, e identificar os trabalhos de enfermagem referentes a cuidados dispensados a esses pacientes. Foram identificados 15 trabalhos. Destes, 09 artigos originais, 05 de revisao, e 01 editorial. Dos 06 trabalhos de enfermagem destacam-se 01 sobre diagnosticos de enfermagem e outro sobre elaboracao de um protocolo de cuidados a esses pacientes.  Diante desta baixa producao constatou-se a necessidade de novas pesquisas acerca da tematica, e sobretudo investimento em acoes de educacao a saude na atencao basica, visando minimizar o indice de febre reumatica.  Descritores: Valvula Mitral, Febre Reumatica, Cuidados de Enfermagem. Scientific production on the exchange of mitral valve associated with rheumatic fever Abstract : A review of the literature, which aimed to raise the brazilian scientific production of the period 2010-2016, about patients submitted to mitral valve replacement associated with Rheumatic Fever and to identify the scientific nursing articles related to the care given to these patients. Fifteen papers were identified. Of these, 09 original articles, 05 review, and 01 editorial. Of the 06 scientific nursing articles, we highlight 01 about nursing diagnoses and another elaboration of a care protocol for these patients. Faced with this low production, the need for new research on the subject, and above all, investment in health education actions in basic care, was aimed at minimizing the rate of rheumatic fever. Produccion cientifica acerca del cambio de valvula mitral asociado a la fiebre reumatica Resumen : Se trata de una investigacion de revision de literatura, cuyos objetivos: analizar el numero de articulos publicados relacionados con el cambio de valvula mitral asociado a la fiebre reumatica, identificar la linea de origen de los cuidados de enfermeria dirigidos a esa clientela y senalar las lagunas citadas por los estudios. Se utilizaron 15 articulos publicados entre 2010 a 2016, como fuente de investigacion se utilizaron las bases de datos virtuales. Los resultados encontrados fueron: 10 articulos escritos por medicos y 05 por enfermeros. Resalto que 05 articulos contemplan asuntos pertinentes de intercambio de valvula mitral y 10 referentes a la fiebre reumatica. Se concluye la necesidad de incentivar nuevas investigaciones acerca del tema como tambien en lo tocante a los servicios ofrecidos en la atencion basica y acciones de educacion a la salud.
