Investigations were carried out on Response of Maize (Z a mays L.) grain yield (kg/ha) and ratio (kg/kg) to the nutrients applications in Telangana state (Soil Test Crop Response Correlation) during 2008 and 2009 at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Warangal. The experime nt were conducted at different sites adjacent to eac h other on a sandy clay loam soil having a low status in availabl e nitrogen (272kg/ha) in the first year and medium (323kg N/ha) in the second year. The soil available phosphorus had a medium status with 60 kg P 2O5/ha in the first year and 50. kg P2O5/ha in the second year. It was rich in available po tassium having 719 and 829 kg K 2O/ha during the corresponding years. The correlation coefficients between grain yield and utrients were significant with N P K uptake, their s upply through fertilizers and soil N and K but not P in th e two years. The quadratic multiple regression equa tions between soil available nutrients with grain yield, fertilizer nut rients and their uptake with grain yield were all si gnificant. The multiple quadratic regression equations between soil available and fertilizer nutrients vis-a-vis their nteraction vs yield were Y = 5007 + 4.947 SN – 0.016 SN 2 – 24.293 SP + 0.077 SP 2 – 13.135 SK + 0.015 SK + 8.899 FN – 0.006 FN – 2.262 FP + 0.039 FP 2 + 30.633 FK + 0.090 FK + 0.017 FNSN + 0.222 FPSP – 0.069 FKSK R = 0.87  2007
