In times of crisis and rethinking, and coinciding with the first centenary of the birth of radio as a mass medium, the use of this sonoric medium in certain communities allows equalizing possibilities and guarantees access to informative and educational content. An example of this are the strategies and content generated in different cities of Argentina and other parts of the world within the context of the isolation measures disposed by the COVID-19 pandemic. These situations allow to put in the foreground the validity of analog technology and its communication capacity, penetration and scope, in a context in which the boom of production and consumption of digital technologies the blackout of those ways of transmitting sound that have accompanied us throughout a whole century seem to be more and more imminent.
