This research is motivated by the 2019 Presidential Election, which was held on April 17, 2019. In an effort to introduce 2 pairs of candidates, the General Election Commission as the organizer of the election held a 2019 Presidential Debate which was broadcasted live on television nationally. This broadcast can provide information to prospective voters, especially first-time voters who have just received their voting rights. The purpose of this study is to test the level of motivation and the level of satisfaction of the beginner voters in MAN 2 Garut in watching the 2019 Presidential Debate on television. The research method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative method to analyze the data that has been collected through data collection in the form of a questionnaire. Respondents of this study are 97 beginner voters in class XII MAN 2 Garut 2018-2019 , with a census sampling technique. The statement instrument used was 40 statements from two variables, motive variables and satisfaction variables. The results showed that the motive level of beginner voters in watching the 2019 Presidential Candidate Debate was very high. This is evidenced by the average score of 392.4 enthusiasm for information motives. Meanwhile, the satisfaction level of first-time voters in watching the 2019 Presidential Candidate Debate shows has very high criteria, meaning that beginner voters of MAN 2 Garut can percieve the art of politics or debate after watching the 2019 Presidential Candidate Debate on television. Then, obtained an average score of Motive (X) or GS (Gratification Sought) is 330.2 and the average score of satisfaction (Y) or GO (Gratification Obtained) is 317.8.
