This study will develop a methodology to measure and find the energy efficiency in arc furnaces, crucible furnaces and cupola furnaces. Those are the only ones used in the small metal casting industries in Cali. The methodology initiates with the elaboration of a survey and contacting a sample OF local companies, then, continues with technical visits, measurements, analysis and results and finally, we obtain conclusions and give some specific recommendations to the companies
