The concerns of academic ethics in scientific journals are quite serious and global. The complexity of these problems is aggravated by the fact that they are not always so easy to recognize. Because they are not so easy to identify as such, it is difficult to combat them. This article presents some ethical problems in the context of the preparation of academic publications: coercive citing, review as an Editorial, self-plagiarism, etc. The author discusses possible remedies.
