En este trabajo se implemento una comunicacion serial UART (Receptor – Transmisor Universal Asincrono) para realizar transferencias de datos entre un dispositivo movil y una tarjeta modelo Spartan 3E FG320, haciendo uso de un modulo embebido Bluetooth; asi tambien, con un microcontrolador de la empresa Texas Instruments modelo TM4C123G, para comparar el precio, la flexibilidad y el tiempo de desarrollo para la implementacion de la comunicacion UART en los dos hardware.  Palabra clave: Bluetooth , comunicacion serial, dispositivo movil, microcontrolador, FPGA.
