— Let Md be the moduli space of semi-stable vector bundles of rank 2, degree d and fixed determinant on a curve C. The Picard group of Md is generated by the determinant bundle L. Let V be the space of second order theta functions on the Jacobian of C ; the space H0(M0,L) is canonically isomorphic to V . We define homomorphisms S2V → H0(M0,L2) and Λ2V → H0(M1,L), which are bijective when C has no special theta-characteristic. We construct bases for H0(M0,L2) and H0(M1,L) in terms of the theta-characteristics of C, and compute the above homomorphisms using these bases. Introduction Soit C une surface de Riemann compacte de genre g. On associe à C, pour chaque paire d’entiers (r, d) avec r ≥ 1, une variété projective Mr,d qui paramètre les fibrés holomorphes semi-stables sur C, de rang r et de degré d, de déterminant fixé (la notation officielle est SUC(r, d)). Une construction naturelle de fibré déterminant permet de définir sur cette variété un fibré en droites positif L ; tout fibré en droites sur Mr,d est un multiple de L [D–N].
