His famous name, surgical skills, anda kind scientific support has started permanently tomake us stronger, wiser, and even more specializedin the field of head neck reconstructive surgery. Hisrecent publication focused on IGTV chimeric flapcase and reconstruction of Cordeiro type IIIA totalmaxillectomy defect1 inspired us for new goals andgave us a new vision of things. One of which is toexpand the journal`s share of articles in the directionof microvascular operations.Dr. Oleksii O. Tymofieiev: After Dr. Massarelli`skind support of our humble ideas, the number of EB members, who deeply involved into moving thejaw reconstructive surgery`s science, increased to 5opinion leaders: Drs. Rui P. Fernandes (USA), Oleh M.Antonyshyn (Canada), Todd C. Hanna (USA), AnthonyM. Bunnell (USA), and Olindo Massarelli (Italy).Dr. Ievgen I. Fesenko: Thanks to Dr. Hanna,our journal`s connection and collaboration withDr. Massarelli became possible and made a hugecontribution to the journal`s evolution.
