Neste artigo, apresentamos um estudo acerca do uso do Modelo Referencial da Linguagem na traducao-interpretacao da linguagem matematica pelos surdos usuarios da Libras. Nosso objetivo e investigar as influencias desse uso no aprendizado da Matematica. Para tanto, apoiamo-nos em alguns conceitos da filosofia de Wittgenstein e de educadores matematicos que se filiam a essa filosofia e em alguns autores que trabalham com a educacao inclusiva de surdos. Realizamos uma pesquisa de campo em duas escolas, com um total de 13 (treze) estudantes surdos, sendo 4 (quatro) em uma turma e 9 (nove) em outra. A partir da abordagem qualitativa, constatamos que esses alunos utilizam a traducao literal das palavras que deriva do Modelo Referencial da Linguagem, ou seja, uma traducao palavra-sinal, fazendo com que nao consigam compreender conceitos matematicos. In this article, we introduce a study about the use of the Language Referential Model in the translation-interpretation of the mathematical language for the deaf users of Libras. Our objective it is to investigate the influences of that use in the learning of Mathematics. For this purpose, we rely on some concepts of Wittgenstein philosophy, and on mathematical educators who affiliate themselves at that philosophy, and, also, on some authors who work with the inclusive education for the deaf.  We accomplish a field research in two schools, with a total of 13 (thirteen) deaf students, 4 (four) in one class and 9 (nine) in another. Based on a qualitative approach, we verified that those students use the literal translation of the words that derives from the Language Referential Model, in other words, a translation word-signal, thus making them unable to understand mathematical concepts.
