The increasing environmental concern has created a situation where the system operator is forced to include more non pollutant, renewable energy resources to fulfill the power demand. With increasing penetration of non conventional/ renewable energy resources, the burden on thermal generation can be considerably reduced and thus with reduced emission, the environmental security can be preserved.
