This work arises as a response to the needs that couples with children, who have asperger syndrome, could present in their family, educational and social systems. The objective of the present is to determine the impact of the upbringing of a child with asperger syndrome on family functioning. To this end, the most relevant characteristics of families with a child with asperger syndrome are described; It identifies the functioning that occurs in the couple who is in charge of raising a child with asperger syndrome. It addresses the need for guidance to help couples who have children with asperger syndrome that can contribute to the achievement of proper functioning between them and in turn raise the quality of the process of comprehensive education of their children.
