鉄鉱石の還元は高炉や各種直接製鉄における主要な反応 であるため,従 来か ら数多 くの研究がなされてきた1)~3)。 還 元反応速度解析用のモデル も碓井 ら4)が解説 しているように 多くの改良がなされてきている。厳密さの点か らは問題 は 残 るが,簡 便であること,な らびに還元データをある程度 よく再現で きることなどか ら,未 反応核モデルが よく使用 されている。 しかも酸化鉄の還元の経路 を考慮 した多界面 未反応核モデル5)が使用されるようになった。また,未 反応 核モデルのもつ問題点を克服すべ く,中間モデル6)やグレイ ンモデル7)など,他の複雑なモデルによる検討 もなされてい る。 このように数学的モデルに関す る検討はかなりなされて いるが,そ のモデル解析 に必要な速度定数についてまとめ た報告はまだみあた らない。本解説で は,ま ず,モ デルに 応じた速度定数の決定法 を解説 し,つ いで,従 来報告され ている速度定数の代表的なものを示 し,そ れらの問題点や 使用上の注意などについて述べ る。
