Multi-material parts have been more acquainted and frequently used in various industrial applications with a motive to meet various property requirements as well as for economical reasons.1) Nickel-based superalloys plays an important role in the development of various industries such as chemical, petrochemical, aerospace and nuclear power plant etc. due to high corrosion resistance and high strength.2–4) Among the various nickel-based superalloys, the demand for Superalloy C-276 in the manufacturing of components used in petrochemical, power generation and nuclear industries are enormous.5,6) This is due to the presence of Cr, Mo and Fe as major alloying elements which contribute to high strength as well as high corrosion resistance at elevated temperature applications.2,7,8) Owing to the high price of Superalloy C-276, it is economically viable to substitute them with a comparatively low priced material.
