14 日間絶食したコイの血漿中代謝物質変動を1H-NMR メタボローム解析により調べた。絶食 14 日目コイの血漿中ではロイシンなどの代謝物が対照群と比較して有意に減少した。またグルコース濃度が低下したままであったことからコイ体内中では糖新生が起こるまでには至っていないと考えられた。一方3-ヒドロキシ酪酸アセト酢酸のようなケトン体が増加していたことから絶食により脂肪酸分解が起こっていたことが示唆された。
