GOF麻酔を実施したイヌ57例およびネコ29例の麻酔記録から麻酔ガスの使用量, 術中体温および心拍数の変動について検索し, 以下の成績を得た。1.ハロセン使用量 (F/kg・hr) はイヌでは2ml/kg・hrと少なく, ネコでは0.2ml/kg・hrから最高9.0ml・kg・hrの問に分散し, イヌと比較してハロセン使用量が多く必要とする傾向を示した。2.ハロセン使用量と笑気・酸素流量比 (N2O/O2) はオスイヌにおいて直線回帰し (y=-0.35x+1.34) , 有意な逆相関 (r=-0.79) を示した。3.術中の体温は手術項目によって一定の傾向を示すことはなく, とくに開腹術による影響と考えられる変化はみられなかった。術中の体温下降はイヌよりもネコで顕著であり, また体重の軽いものほど体温下降が著じるしくなることが明らかとなった。4.術中の心拍数の変化も体温の変化と同様な傾向を示し, 体重の軽いものほど著しい心拍数の減少がみられることが明らかとなった。
