Concerning the permeability and content of component, the following exponential equation I, and the first order equation, equation II, were introduced on the basis of the double column model; Equation I: P=Pa[Pb+(1-Vb)n{PaVb-PbVb-Pb}]/[Pb(1-Vb){1-(1-Vb)n-1}+PaVb] Equation II: P=Pa{nPb+(Pa-Pb)(1-nVb)}/{nPb+(Pa-Pb)}where P, Pa and Pb are the permeability coefficients of the membrane, component A and B, respectively, and Va and Vb are the volume fractions of A and B, respectively, and n is the constant.The validities of these equations were investigated by the oxygen and nitrogen permeability coefficient data of EVA modified PDMS membranes.
